Our radiology department has a Phillips iU22 ultrasound. It is mobile, they use it for carotid and DVT studies. It is only used during the day time.
Would there be any reason it couldn't be used for PICC placement?

Don't know until you try, but there shouldn't be any reason why you couldn't visualize the vein. wouldn't be able to use the needle guide, if you use it anyway, but would still be able to use the sleeve and the sterile jelly.

Thanks for the reply. For now we might have to use this machine until we can sway administration to get one of our own.
