I am curious to see what is out there for PICC team members. Do you have a CNA? Do they work as a team? Do you ever have a nurse work alone? What is your PICC team structure?

Why would you need a CNA? We have 2 RNs on our team..sometimes we have to insert them alone if we are working on the weekend or a holiday...

I do both. Sometimes I have a CNA and it is a luxury. Makes it go faster and more productive. They set up my tray while I evaluate the vein, help if I need to add anything. Help with the paper work, call X-ray etc. Speeds up the process and spoils you when you have to do it by yourself.
