I can see more and more questions about which is the right cap/mechanical valve/luer activated device for the SOLO from Brad access systems.During my Study about performance from negative-neutral-positive pressure caps, I did a second Study with the 4 French SOLO for myself.If you like to know the outcome, please send me an e-mail and I will send you a copy.[email protected]This is not a Study I did for Bard or Bard ask me to do. In general, this is about occlusions and performance, to have 100% performance you need the right Device, don’t blame the PICC.All negative pressure devices showed a reflux up to 0.05ml.Neutral devices performed better but still had a reflux between 0.00 and 0.02 ml. All positive pressure devices performed well, some better than others.I am not here to sell caps or point fingers, these are facts.You or your facility can make your own decision; I just try to make things more clear.
