Session Description:
Clinicians in various sites of care are encouraged to participate in this special webinar event featuring an extended question and answer panel with the nationally known speaker, Lisa A. Gorski, RN, MS, HHCNS-BC, CRNI®, FAAN and INS clinical leaders. Lisa serves as Chairman of the INS Standards of Practice Committee responsible for revising and updating the standards of practice scheduled for publication in early 2011.
This program will provide an understanding of the primary differences in the updated Infusion Nursing Standards of Practice related to preventing catheter-associated bloodstream infections (CABSI) that was not addressed in the 2006 Standards. In addition, practice recommendations will be shared related to preventing CABSIs that differ between the 2006 and 2011 Standards of Practice.
The panelists will welcome questions from all viewers during the extended Question and Answer session following the presentation.
