Ventilated patient, Central Line Removal

Can someone provide a reference which will state at what phase of mechanical ventilation it is safest to remove the central line?  I have read 'end expiration', inspiration (when the air pressure is highest in the chest), and expiratory phase.  I have no good references at hand and can't find anything.  I mostly have read what appears to be the opinions of others.  Help!

No references but

Since noone else has answered I can only tell you what the anaesthetists do, and that is ventilate by hand, they are not allowed to use the machine. and they hold the  breath in the inspiration phase, while the surgeon or fellow anaes, pulls the line .
