My facility is working on improvements in our IV therapy policies. I very much would like to implement an assessment tool for referrals to place PICCs earlier in the process. I have seen a variety of assessment algorythms being used and found one that uses a scoring table. Does anyone here know of or currently use a scoring system for vascular access assessment?
