Our facility just recently, has decided to do daily line checks, drsg changes. We are no longer a picc, stick, & run, ya! We also do access ports, start diff. PIVs, and declot. We are curious to what other facilities are doing.
If your facility does the checks/changes please post at what intervals, how many is on your team, and how many bed hospital, and the success/unsuccess, line infection decrease? Also, what time do you charge (only prod. reasons) for productivity only? Like PICC 2 hours, ML 1 hour, drsg changes 20 min? etc. If you want to email me separately that info. would be wonderful!
