Use of Buretrol tubing for peds

In a hospital setting, on peds patients, is your best practice to use a buretrol IV set when using an IV pump?  If not, how are you delivering IVPB meds - are you using syringe pumps?  If you are using buretrols - is there an age limit when you only utilize a volumetric pump?                Thanks, Nancy

In my experience, all meds
In my experience, all meds were delivered with a syringe pump. Buretrols were used on fluids with only 2 hours of fluid in the set at any given time. A volumetric pump was also used. This is for the purpose of ensuring correct flow rates and to prevent fluid overload if there is a pump malfunction. Lynn
