I am updating educational information on central line/PICC lines. Is there any new information on the items below.
1. Infection percentages between different types of central lines. Subcalvian. jugular, picc, ports, femoral?
2. Recommendations on how long the different lines should be left in?
3. Midlines VS Central lines with vesicant drugs?
4. Midline complications vs PICC lines?
5. Use of vacutainiers for blood draws on picc lines?
6. Does the CDC update their Central line infection information?
7. DVT's leaving lines in vs removing them?
Any new studies, or direction to information pertaining to these questions would be appreciated.
Thank you Kathy

Answers to many of your questions are found in the 2016 Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice from INS. Can be purchased online at www.ins1.org. No new guidelines from CDC since 2011. Lynn
