Does anyone have a good securement method for Swanz Ganz catheters? Most of our Swanz Ganz catheters are inserted in the internal jugular vein. We have tried different taping methods, dressings, and securement devices to better secure the Swanz Ganz catheters but nothing seems to work very well. The catheter is heavy and pulls on the dressing and the patients tend to sweat alot after surgery. Is there a specific securement device, taping method, or dressing that works well?
