I am patient and a kidney transplant (8yrs). Had a severe bout of nausea & diarrhea. I was dehydrated and transplant Dr admitted me, ordered a picc for anti-rejection meds over the next 30 hours. Sympto.s subsides and I was released.
By the time I was released I was experiencing shortness of breath, lung pain.
Is this from the removal or insertion of the picc? The insertion was very painful and done by the only tech at this hospital that day qualified to do a picc.
Do not stop using CHG!!!!! Read Jamie's message to see that she stopped applying CHG after puncture. Lynn
