Power Piccs/ Power Ports Contrast Warming

Recently it was brought to our attention about warming contrast to body temperature prior to power injection for both power ports and power piccs.  There is a warning label stating that failure to do so may lead to catheter failure.   Label instructions on contrast media are specifc of storage up to 86 degrees.  There is one sentence in package insert that states may be desirable to warm contrast to body temperature prior to injection. I was wondering how other institutions are accomplishing this or if they are even aware of this info since sales is not forth coming with this information to the physicians or hospitals or at least not to us.  I was around when JACHO pulled a bottle from to warm of a warmer and said bottle stipulates stored at.  So usage is at time of use not am of day scheduled.  Just beginning to wonder if power piccs are even worth it?
