Has anyone had any experiences like this. I saw a patient today. Took bloods off PICC line and flushed. About 10 minutes later she experienced a spasm like pain in her lower chest diaphragm area also going up into the right side of her face. All obs, ecg etc normal. One speaking with a collgue who had a PICC in for long term antibiotics said she had the same symptoms and even  now a couple of years later she can get a sensation of spasm from picc insertion site to lower chest.
