For those of you that have a PICC Coordinator in your facility, what are the job responsibilities? My medical center is exploring the idea of adding a PICC Coordinator position, but we need to better define the role. We currently have a Nurse Manager, a Nursing Education Specialist, and a Clinical Nurse Specialist. There seem to be many projects that could use extra support in order for implementation to occur sooner, so I see this person functioning as a project manager/facilitator working in collaboration with the other nursing leadership roles. Any ideas/suggestions/information would be appreciated!
