The number, size, and location of the VADs needed to correctly and safely infuse those therapies depends upon the assessment of the inserter. The provider will not be knowledgeable of compatibilities, infusion issues, etc. This is our domain. The question may be who is deciding that 2 lines are needed? Is there truly a need or can the infusions be planned to all go through one site?
