midline with tapered hub

The team i work with is looking for a company that makes a midline with a tapered hub. We use Bard midlines now and find that we have a lot  of bleeding after a MST insertion of a midline. Is there a company that makes a tapered hub midline? Thanks for your help.

Carol are you guys making a skin knick when inserting the dilator? Our hospital has found that the long term problems that a reversed tapered catheter causes far outweigh the benefits of possibly preventing excess bleeding or oozing from the site. We have found that by not making a skin knick when inserting the dilator and then using a BioPatch, our dressing stay very clean.

I really have to question the results of using a reverse taper and problems

First there are no published studies to show a problem with a reverse taper

Second the reverse taper has been around for at least 15 years in PICC lines

who manufactures a reverse taper and who does not?

First who does make a reverse taper PICC line:  Cook (the inventor of it  late1980's or early 1990's), Bard (make both), Angiodynamics( yes they make both the reverse and non reverse), MeComp, Jet Medical, Churchill (Jet, MedComp, and Churchill PICC lines are all made by the same OEM company - all are reverse taper), Boston Scientific (make both I think???),

The non reverse taper:  Arrow, BD first PICC, Vygon peds line, Bard gesco per-q-cath the old silicone line used in peds alot, Angiodynamics has both remember so they can give reverse taper to the ones who like it and non reverse for the ones who do not, Boston I believe has both the reverse and non reverse taper but do not quote me on that one - not sure if they have the non reverse taper anymore

To date I cannot find a study that says there is a higher rate of anything with either design.  If you know of one I would like to read it.   Enliughten me.
