Hi, I am writing a policy for the power glide midline. Are we to change the extension tubing ( which is added on to the power glide midline on insertion) every 7 days as it is an add on?
Some tell me to do so others so not to change ( Bard educator). Standard 36 explains to minimize manipulation.
Please advise thank you.

Yes, that is the best practice and extension sets would fall under the Add-on standards. On the powerglide, I think the actual female hub is outside the dressing so this point of connection would be easy to reach. Lynn
