Our organization struggles with prolonged hospitalizations of patients who we feel are not safe to be discharged with a PICC line. When we consulted the Advisory Board, the feedback was our hospital was keeping these patients longer thank other facilities across the nation. Any suggestions on how we can decrease our length of stay for patient who are at a higher risk of using the line inappropriately would be greatly appreciated.
Neuma Innovations has developed a PICC and Central Line Tamper Evident Clamp to protect PICC lines from abuse and to facilitate safe hospital discharge, especially for patients with a history of IV drug use.
