injection cap disinfection

Does anyone have a written policy/standard they are using for injection cap disinfection prior to accessing the hub.  We use a 15 second scrub with 70% isopropyl alcohol.  Are there any new standards coming out about this process?

We are using a 15 sec scrub with a Chlorascrub Swab which is a 3.15% Chlorhexidine and 70% Isopropal Alcohol.

Your statement is our statement in our policy.  I have a copy of the CDC guideline for the prevention of CRBSIs dated May 17th, 2010 Final Issue Review.  The HICPAC action and final revised text regarding needleless connectors is "minimize contamination risk by scrubbing the access port with an appropriate antiseptic (chlorhexidine, povidone iodine, an iodophor, or 70% alcohol) and accessing the port only with sterile devices. Category IA".  So it looks like they removed "chlorhexidine preferred".
