Are there any hospital based IV Teams out there that have transitioned from IV Access Product Company - sponsored radiographic picc tip verification classes to self or peer verification classes? We have nurses that have been through the BARD class but have had some recent challenges getting our nurses to the classes when outside of our state. We are fortunate to have sent 5 nurses total to date and also fortunate to have one of our onsite IR that is a champion for IV Nurses reading the inital x-ray for picc tip placement and participates in the competency portion of this for the team.
 What makes a radiographic picc tip verification educator comptent for this class? Can one of my IV Nurses become an educator since we have all the necessary players involved in this game?
