Home Blinatumomab Bag Changes - Patients or Nursing?

Our home care agency current policy is that nursing does all Blinatumomab bag changes (q 48 h) for patients in the home due to the risk of Cytokine Release Syndrome if the line is flushed. The recent issue of Journal of Infusion Nursing article "Addressing Administration Challenges Associated With Blinatumomab Infusions" written by authors from University of Maryland Medical center - states that patients are taught to do Blincyo bag changes in the home and nursing does weekly cap/dressing change and line check.

I'm wondering how other home care agencies are handling Blincyto administration in the home?  Do your nurses do all bag changes - or are you teaching patient/caregivers to manage this?

Thanks for the input,

Paula
