Drawing SVO2 labs from PICC

Can anyone cite articles for me regarding how long infusions should be off before drawing an svo2 off a PICC line? I say 1-2 minutes and the ICU educator says 15 minutes.

In 15 minutes, the line would be clotted and drawing a blood sample may not be possible. What was her rationale for this extended length of time? Lynn
