We are starting to offer u/s guided arterial lines at our hospital. My question is how many people that do them get consents beforehand? Is it a national standard to do so or is it per hospital policy?
Consent for all procedures may vary from state to state and is directed by your risk management department. Check with them. Some may require a separate IC while others may say it is covered in the general consent on admission.
