We are encountering more occlusions (should read systematic) occlusion when using cloxacillin IV for extended period (4-6 weeks) in our home IV program. We use a polyurethane picc (COOK) - double lumen - large lumen used for the infusion. CADD pump are used for the infusion. We have tried to flush with 40 cc of NS between bag change in the pump with limited impact.
Anybody dealing with similar difficulty?
