We use the Nexiva Diffusics for CT Infusion Scans when the patient does not have appropriate veins for a 22 gauge catheter or larger. Our current 24 gauge catheters are not power rated. We have not had an issue with the Diffusics, however we did need to do extra in-servicing for the units who need to use them as the insertion technique is a bit different from our blood control devices.
