Bard Site Rite plastic cover replacement

With Bard deciding not to have the plastic site rite cover for taking your ultrasound into Isolation rooms that are on MRSA precautions, C-dif precautions etc. to do a PICC, what is everyone else doing?  Are you taking everything off your ultrasound and then cleaning the entire cart after your are in an Isolation room?  Has anyone found another product that works as well?  Please let me know.

Thanks

We simply use 2 isolation

We simply use 2 isolation gowns. One for front and one for back. The upper half of our site rite 8 is not covered, but we will wipe it down after we're done.

We take EVERYTHING off the

We take EVERYTHING off the cart....what a pain!....then we cut the end off a large trash bag and slide it down over the machine.  We tape the opening at the top around the machine as best we can.  This process ends up with just the screen, probe, and sherlock outside the bag.  Once we're done, we cut down the side of the bag and dispose of it in the room.  It works but I'd rather have a clear cover specifically made for the machine with port holes for the probes to extend through.

HEY BARD..........BRING BACK THE CLEAR MACHINE COVERS!!!!!!
