Our facility is talking about going to an antimicrobial needleless connector. Does anyone have an idea of what these products costs, and if they are worth the increase?
The only data available at this time is the microbial ingress studies performed by each manufacturer. I am not aware of any clinical outcome studies yet because they are too new. So it depends on what level of evidence you need to determine if they are "worth the increase."
