What are others using for IV carts that would meet JCAHO standards? We are looking for carts that are able to be locked and would travel easily throughout the hospital. If someone could recommend manufacturers and approximate cost of carts it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Barb

We have used Lionville automatic-locking carts at one hospital for about 4 years now and they are holding up pretty well. They travel easily. Much more easily than the larger, key-lock Armstrong cart we use for procedures, not-so-fondly referred to as the Beast.
We have a Metro Starsys cart at the other hospital that is also automatic and it is doing well at approx. 18 months.
The actual manufacturing of these carts might be from the same source, but I am not sure of that. We ordered them through PharmMed.
I have requested 1 more at each hospital - 1 to replace the "Beast".
