I am looking for a easy, low cost training module for training nurses to start Iv's. We need to have our staff less dependent on us for basic sticking as we can barely keep up with central line issues, PICC insertions , troubleshooting etc. Their will be consequences for all bedside staff sticking, but 3 of us can no longer keep up with the time-expectations. RN's will use the module as welll as LPN's. We finally have an educator in place and I told her I'd look for something to assist her with this giant undertaking. All comments appreciated.
Would I need to connect with a rep to get a copy of that handout or is it available elsewhere?
Thanks!

I would contact your vendor for your IV catheters as they may offer clinical support in the way of free education with CEUs. Our vendor is BD and they have an extensive selection of classes they offer. Just have to ask.
