May I ask anyone for information regarding picc failed to insert due to failure to thread catheter for unknown anatomical obstructions. Is it still chargeable to the hospital by the contract PICC company? Thanks.
In my service contract failed placement will be billed to the contractor as a procedure.

We don't bill unless successful. We don't have a contract PICC company. Our unsuccessful PICCs are referred to Interventional Radiologists.
