I am not aware of a specific formula that will produce the amount of air a human can tolerate intraveously. This amount depends upon many patient factors along with the rate of infusion or injection of the air. A literature search on venous air embolism may produce some formulas that have been used in animals and their may be some mechanism for extrapolating this data to humans.
