Persistent withdraw occlusion of central venous catheter

Is anybody using the bubble study with ultrasound to confirm tip location and proper function of a CVC with persistent withdraw occlusion (negative blood return) prior to giving a vesicant.

Also, what are peoples thoughts on this practice?

A bubble study with agitated

A bubble study with agitated saline will work to determine tip location and fluid pathway. But are you going to do this every time you need to give a vesicant med? Not a very practical method.
