 wHAT LeNGTH IS CLASSIFIeD AS A MIDLINe VS PIV ?

There is no specific length

There is no specific length for each. Midline refers to a specific tip location as defined in the INS SOP Glossary. There are 3 types of peripheral VADs now - short PIV, long PIV, and midline.

So would it be appropriate to say that a device such as an AccuCath placed under US guidance in the proximal cephalic, basilic, or brachial could be considered a midline?

Yes, if the insertion site and length of patient's arm allows the tip to reach the midline location.
