Lynn - We met you at INS 2018 and discussed bringing OPAL to our hospital and with your help we were finally able to successfully implement the clinically indicated removal of venous access devices. Our facility, like many others, is trying to improve IV assessments and we have begun incorporating OPAL (observation, light palpation, aspiration and listening) into our new employee orientation with great success. Each time OPAL has been presented we have referenced Lynn Hadaway Associates. Our goal for Nurse's Week this year is to create a poster of our outcomes, an explanation of what OPAL is, and an article that one of our hospitalists wrote regarding idle IVs so that we can continue to push this to those nurses that we have not touched in new employee orientation. I'm hoping to get your blessing to use the content from the poster you created on your website if you would allow and continue to reference Lynn Hadaway Associates. If there is some other way you would like to be referenced let me know. Thank you very much for your consideration.
I am happy you have found it so useful. Please use it as you need to. If you have space you could help by putting my website on these resources if you think that would be appropriate. www.hadawayassociates.com.
Thanks!! Lynn
