Just wanted to thank everyone who uses this site for all of your help over the years! I am retiring after 43 years in nursing and moving on to see what the rest of my life holds for me! I have enjoyed networking with you and even meeting some of you at conferences. Continue to hold fast to evidence-based practice in IV therapy and vascular access! I wish you all well and may every PICC patient have excellent pipes for veins!
Wendy Erickson, RN, VA-BC
Wendy, congratulations! You have earned it. We will miss you but I am sure you will be having a wonderful time in retirement. I am hoping to be there soon. Lynn

Nope. not you. Take your vitamins and stay hydrated, you're gonna need to stay healthy and working a while longer.
Wendy dangit! pop in from time to time will ya please? I'll miss seeing your posts.
The first waves of vascular access nurses are gone and going....... it's sad.
Wendy, Congratulations on your retirement.
It was a pleasure working with you for so many years---Thank you for your guidance and encouragement that you provided to me every time I got an order to place a PICC line that first year and would get all nervous and feel sick to my stomach. LOL
You certainly taught me how to use my references to obtain knowledge for best practice and provided me with a good solid base to work from. Thank you for always encouraging us improve our skills and knowledge in the area of Vascular Access.
I wish you the BEST in your retirement. Don't worry----I will always remember, when it comes down to it----Do What's BEST FOR THE PATIENT!
