IV EVAL 101

Recently I have been mortified to find an escalation ofÂ infractionsÂ toÂ IV Standards (eg:17 day old IV tubing in use for infusion via PICC)

Since there are no longer IVRNs doing daily rounds (actually it's been more then 5 years) and Staff is responsible for Site maintenance I want to author a document to help the these RNs assess the IV System (Site to Bag) followingÂ best practice and INS standards--If you have such a document could you please post it or if you know of a good resource please list it--Thank you in advance of your assistanceÂ Â Â

Just finished reading Kelli Rosenthal's i.v. essentials column in Nursing Made Incredibly Easy entitled Apheresis catheters--Kelli if you monitor this web site could you please let us know if you have authored a column that would speak to the issue of good daily IV site to bag evaluation or could you consider writing such an article in the future--Thank you in advance for your response
