What would you think if you were employed by a hospital /medical center that did not provide policy regarding central lines and IV lines for the staff nurses that worked on inpatient wards. What would or could you do? If the company used say Mosbys for procedure would that be enough legally. Should there be written who can perform task such as IV insertions, Central line dressing changes and/or blood collections from central lines.
Resources like Mosby is fine for procedure but hospital must write their own policies.
