PICC Embolism

A co-worker's father has been in a legal battle for 4 years due to a PICC embolism.  Can anyone point me in the direction of literature regarding similar cases that went to court.  Any other info/comments/suggestions are appreciated.  Thanks.

Over the past 11 years, I have served as the expert in ~75 IV-related cases. None have been about a catheter embolism and only 2 have involved a PICC. I also can not think of any published cases of catheter embolism involving a PICC, although I am sure they may be out there. One other thing about legal cases - if it was settled out of court and did not go to trial, there will be no public information available about the case as this is a private agreement. So you may not find any actual legal cases published. Let me know if I can answer other questions. Lynn
