Does anyone know of any national benchmarks for upper extremity DVTs related to PICC lines? Or are there any articles that you could recommend? We have recently seen an increase in the number of DVTs related to PICC lines and are trying to determine why this is happening. We have not changed any products or insertion procedure technique, but have seen an increase.
