Hi there!
I am a CT/Special Procedures Technologist and I am a member of a committee to help promote quality imaging procedures and all that goes into making that happen. We are currently looking at injection infiltrates and need to know if there is some type of a benchmark that we could use as a baseline.
If anyone has any insite or suggestions on this I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
Cindy
Benchmark for the number that is acceptable? Benchmark for the standards of practice that will reduce this risk? Or something else.
Zero is the acceptable number. Infusion Nursing Standards of Practice provides the risk reduction strategies. Purchase this at www.ins1.org. Or I provide consulting services to hospitals to create these types of programs. I have been the expert is several legal cases with very nasty infiltrations associated with high pressure injections where the care provided was far less than the national standards of practice. Call me at 770-358-7861 or email me at [email protected] to discuss further. Thanks, Lynn
