Infiltrations-blood

Is ice primarily the treatment of choice for infiltrations.   To be specific....how about a blood infiltrate?

Cold for hypertonic fluids
Studies from the early 1990's found that cold works best on hypertonic fluid infiltrations. In fact, heat made them worse. For isotonic or hypotonic fluids, they suggested that you use what has the greatest improvement of patient comfort Lynn
