least CL Infection rates
I have always heard that PICC's have lower infection rates than Jugular (#1) or Subclavian (#2) lines.  But in the 100k lives campaign it states that the subclavian vein is the preferred sith for non-tunneled catheters in adults.  What's up?  Thanks....

That campaign did not
That campaign did not include anything about PICCs. Outside the hospital, PICCs are documented to have a very low infection rate. Dr. Maki has reported that rates of CRBSI with PICCs in hospitalized patients is about the same as other CVCs. Lynn
