INS to Present Webinar on Iron OverloadÂ
On December 4 at 1:00 PM EST, the Infusion Nurses Society (INS) will present a one-hour webinar entitled, Excess Iron: Blood's Hidden Risk. Provided to you in a joint effort with Novartis, this program will look at the cause, effects, and assessment of transfusional overload. Discussion topics will include the mechanism of iron buildup, consequences of iron overload, and screening guidelines for iron overload assessment.
The program is free to all INS members ($35 for non-members) and is the first in a series of webinar programs that INS has planned over the next year.
