I am in the process of putting together the appropriate paper work needed so that the nurses on our PICC Team can meet competency and perform tip confirmation of our PICC Lines. We have the approval of our radiologists who are willing to provide the instruction and sign us off on our competency. I already have alot of information from past AVA conferences regarding this subject but am very interested if there is anyone out in the "vascular access" world that would be so gracious as to share what you have used for your policy regarding this along with competency guidelines, the paperwork that lists the competencies we would need to meet that the radiologist would sign us off on, etc. My goal here is gather various documents and use them only as an informational guide to help me create documentation that would work best for us.
