Safety SQ infusion set

I'm looking to source a safety SQ butterfly infusion set, which leaves a
polyurethane- type catheter insitu rather than the needle. Besides the
Cleo, are there any other products available (preferably with a short
administration set)? We'd like to avoid the off-label use of a winged IV catheter.

Do you know any home health agencies? They frequetnly use the device you are looking for. I haven't used any in a long time, so I cannot help you with brand names.

Sof Set made by Medtronic is what you are looking for I believe, however I would not consider this a safety device.  When you remove the introducer needle it is exposed.

The insuflon will leave a catheter and is easy to use but it is not a true safety device either in that there is no way to cover the needle once the catheter is placed and needle removed from patient.

Thanks,

The Accu-Chek Flex Link Plus

The Accu-Chek Flex Link Plus Catheter has a retractable needle and comes with an extension set.  It's pretty neat looking and I think well tolerated by our patients.  It is used primarily by our palliative care team.

Thanks, I didn't know that but apparently our palliative care nurse did.  She said the new product should be out next month.
