Susan Rainey, Olympic Medical Center
We have the poster hanging in our PICC nurse area and it's based on info from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, though I was uable to find anything online the refers to this document (as a means of obtaining a copy via internet). Does anyone else know of a way to obtain a copy of this poster?

By the way...these power flushing practices work amazingly well. I just used the guidelines for an azygous placement and it dropped right into the distal SVC. I've used the guidelines for jugular placement, contralateral jugular, azygous, and mammary, and each one has worked perfectly so far. I'm a believer.
The power flushing technique, along with PICCs, originated at MD Anderson. If this was presented as a poster, it may not have been published and you will not be able to find it through any of the search engines. You could call the IV team and MDA and ask about it.
