Can anyone provide feed back on age limits of placing piccs in pediatrics? Can anyone supply evidence-based information to support their policy?
Thanks.
There are no age limits as PICCs are used in neonates, including very low birth weight neonates. The restricting factor is the competency of the staff in dealing with the neonatal and pediatric patient populations. Lynn
