for an article discussing a study/an audit about nurses admitting they only disinfected needleless connectors 37% or 35% of the time?
I may be way off in the numbers that I'm remembering.
Thanks in advance.
The number was 31% from a survey of nurses, not observation of real practice. It was only in an abstract presented at SHEA in 2005:
Karchmer, T., et al. Needleless valve ports may be associated with a high rate of catheter-related bloodstream infection. in Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America. 2005. Los Angeles, CA: Slack, Inc.
It has not been published in a journal article that I know about.
