How to prepare for CRNI, where do I start?

Hi I have been placing PICC lines and working in the Vascular Access Department in my facility for 3 years now prior to that I was an ICU nurse for 13 years.  I am interested in studying and preparing for the CRNI exam.  Can someone help me on where I should start, what materials I should purchase.  Unfortunately our facility provides nothing for education and there are 3 of us in our department and the other 2 have gone to AVA the past two years after they were able to scrape money from many different people.  I was planning on going to INS next May instead of using the little money I have to go to AVA.  But any help of where to start would be great , thanks.

First go to the INS website

First go to the INS website and download all the information there about certification. INS has numerous published resources with test questions and study guides. Frequently, a local INS chapter will sponsor a review course. You will need to have a copy of the INS standards of practice, the INS textbook as the minimum resources for studying. There are also review courses on each of the 9 content areas at the INS conference in May each year.
