Do pt's with Factor 8 disorder have a higher chance of bleeding into the tissues or at the skin cannula junction site?
I have placed several PICCs into hemophiliacs and have not found that they have any more bleeding than other patients. However, they generally receive factor first.
We have placed in pt with von Willebrants disease (twice) without adverse events. Pt received factors before placement.
